Get Started

Are you ready to take the next steps?

Journalism & Multimedia Studies majors get active in the mediated world. You’ll ground yourself in the principles of media literacy, production, and connectivity. You’ll track the threads of cultural, political-economic, and historical spheres through multimedia storytelling. You’ll get to practice your skills in real-world internships, and you can collaborate with campus-based publications. And by graduation, you’ll be creating meaningful work that contributes to the society around you.

You can produce stories across media platforms (radio, video, online, print, photo, and social media) and build your resume by working the business side of these organizations.
  • Student Shorts Fest – Students taking video classes participate in this film festival with guest scholars, writers, and filmmakers.
  • Internships – All our students gain real-world experience through local, regional, and national internships.
