The Application for the 2018-2020 program is closed.
Applications should be completed in consultation with Dr. Les Sommerville, MARC Program Director, as well as MARC Research Mentors. Please contact and meet with potential Research Mentors prior to listing the mentor on your application.
Students who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for the program by completing the online application, uploading required application materials and requesting that faculty submit letters of support to Marnie Clay, MARC Program Coordinator, prior to the due date.
Application Materials include:
- Online Application
- Unofficial Transcripts
- Personal Statement
- Research Statement
- Two letters of support from faculty members (one from potential Research Mentor)
In addition, each applicant will be interviewed by the Selection Committee as part of the application process.
A Selection Committee comprised of MARC U*STAR Steering Committee members and MARC Mentors will evaluate the application of each candidate and the letters of support. The committee will make the final determination on student admission to the program and communicate their decision to the applicant by the beginning of March.
