Education at the Center for Integrated Access Networks
Integrated Optics for Undergraduate Native Americans (IOU-NA) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU). IOU-NA students will participate in Native American focused workshops facilitated by University of Arizona's Native American-serving entities, gain hands-on experience, attend presentations given by Native American STEM graduates, and participate in other activities designed to support Native American Undergraduate students.

Apply to become a candidate to train under the mentorship of program officials and scientists working on focused research projects. Eligibility includes:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Be currently enrolled full-time, seeking a degree in STEM (sophomore by time of application)
- Be available to participate in the full 10-week program
National Energy Technology Laboratory
Join the search for solutions to America’s energy challenges. Internship offered through Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education (ORISE) are designed to encourage students and recent graduates to explore the challenges and opportunities available in energy research. Through the program, participants gain access to some of the nation’s best laboratory facilities and professional opportunities. Eligibility includes:
- Be an undergraduate or recent graduate in good standing
- Have an overall minimum GPA of 2.45/4.0
- Be at least 18 by the time of appointment
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)
Science Education and Workforce Development Programs at ORNL. Available to undergraduates, recent graduates, and post graduates. Most opportunities require a GPA of 2.5 or higher, range from between 8-52 weeks, depending on the opportunity, and be a U.S. citizen.
