Star Circles: Aiming at the pole on a clear dark night.
Date: November 2009
Equipment: Canon 50D with 10-22mm zoom lens.
Exposure: Almost an hour - the camera battery died at ~50 minutes. Set at ISO 100, and f5.6.
Processing Notes: None. This was just saved as a JPG file by the camera.
Additional Comments: I am not sure why the circles appear to get dimmer near the end of the exposure. The sky looked very clear the whole time. If you have any ideas, please let me know. The glow in the trees at the bottom is the reflection from the lights in my house.
