The Biology Wing of Berndt Hall
The Biology wing replaced the old section of Berndt Hall that previously held classrooms, labs and faculty offices. At more than 33,000 square feet, the new wing is almost three times larger than the old structure.
Biology is one of Fort Lewis College’s most popular degree programs, particularly among Native American students.
The wing earned a LEED Gold rating. It is estimated that earning a LEED Gold rating added between $340,000 and $850,000 to construction costs.
