The Life-Long Learning Program
For the citizens of the Four Corners, the Professional Associates’ best-known program is definitely our Life-Long Learning lecture series. When school is in session, Thursday evenings are Life-Long Learning evenings at FLC.
Co-sponsored by the Office of the President, this well-attended series offers free presentations on a wide range of subjects and is designed to enrich the intellectual life of the college and community alike.
Thursday evening programs are held each semester, begin at 7:00, and are usually held in Noble Hall 130. If held elsewhere, the location is given in the schedule printed for each semester series. You can also sign up for Life-Long Learning updates at www.fortlewis.edu/professionalassociates.

Since 2008, we have also supported LLL in Pagosa Springs, and more recently, in Bayfield.
Business Related Activities
Professional Associates works with the School of Business to provide business related programs for the community.
PA members serve as advisors for the Small Business Development Center. In this activity PAs review business plans, strategic plans, business models, etc. of new startup companies or existing companies that are seeking help from the SBDC. PAs offer advice on improving these areas. The SBDC receives a monetary credit from the US government for the volunteer time PAs invest in these critiques.
PA works with local high schools to promote FLC as a choice for those going on to college, and to increase ways of introducing local high school students to FLC through participation in college classes and activities.
Mountain Studies Institute
