Natasha Tidwell earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Texas A&M University. Her primary areas of expertise are intimate relationships, initial attraction, sex, and gender. Dr. Tidwell’s program of research broadly explores several different factors within these areas, such as social-cognitive processes in romantic attraction, evolutionary influences on attraction, and sex and/or gender. She has published articles related to these topics in outlets such as Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Personal Relationships, and Law and Human Behavior. Some of the courses she teaches at Fort Lewis include Lifespan Development, Psychology of Gender, and Intimate Relationships. In addition, she puts her training to more applied use as a volunteer with SASO (Sexual Assault Services Organization).
