Robotic GNOME Laboratory

Students working with Professor Ryan Smith

Welcome to the Robotic GNOME Laboratory

GNOME stands for Guidance and Navigation for Observation and Monitoring of the Environment. We work to:

  • Create a nexus of robotics, sensor networks, and environmental monitoring
  • Research areas in robotic perception, conceptualization, planning and long-term navigation
  • Create robotic systems that operate for long periods without human intervention in dynamic and complex, real-world environments.
