“STEM3 was a large part of my life during the years I studied at FLC. As a first generation, low-income student, I had no clue what college was going to be like, and did not realize the amount of work that had to go into it to be successful.
The advisors at STEM3 guided me towards proper study habits and time-management, and I started getting the best grades I ever received in my life. They helped me develop a good work ethic and set realistic goals for myself. To top it all off, they provided me with a space where I felt like I belonged, which was critical to maintaining sanity while working on a Bachelor of Science!
After graduation, STEM3 offered me a position as one of their advisors. I am truly honored and excited to be in this role, and my goal is to be able to make a difference for our students, just as my advisor did for me.”
