Stipends for STEM Teachers

FCNS Stipends STEM majors that want to explore the idea of teaching in K-12.

FCNS stipends of $20.00/hour are available to majors that want to explore the idea of teaching in K-12 along with earning their STEM degree. Gaining exposure to teaching involves participating in outreach events such as giving tours of science labs, leading activities at a math festival table, conducting science demonstrations, tutoring, presenting ideas in a classroom, participating in Powerhouse Science Center events, and/or region math and science camps. These outreach opportunities are available during the academic year as well as in the summer and may be on or off the FLC campus.


Application for Teaching Exposure Activities accepted at all times

Eligibility Requirement: Must be a STEM major (or interested in a STEM major) with a curiosity or interest in K-12 teaching.
