Rebecca is originally from Oahu, Hawaii and received an education in Missouri. She earned her Master’s degree in English from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010. After a two-year stint teaching composition at Tarleton State University in Texas, Rebecca moved up to Colorado to pursue her love of the outdoors. To facilitate that appetite, she taught 1st, 7th, and 8th grade at a small private school in Montrose, Colorado.
Rebecca’s passion is for her students and watching their transformations through writing as they become more confident, accomplished people. Like her students, Rebecca also pursues the transformational magic of writing through many different genres.
Rebecca is newly married and shares many adventures with her husband, Fritz. Their dream is to own an Irish wolfhound and a basset hound as well as climb, backpack, float, paint, and write their way through Colorado and Utah.
