Rotem Ishay
Director and Exercise Specialist, Durango Sports Lab
Rotem Ishay is an exercise specialist, endurance coach, and former professional cyclist with over 15 years of experience helping athletes and active individuals better understand and improve their performance. As Director of Durango Sports Lab, he combines evidence-based physiological testing with practical coaching experience to help clients make informed decisions about their training, health, and performance.
A multiple-time Israeli National Champion and US Collegiate Division I Champion, Rotem competed cycling professionally at the international level. Through services provided at DSL, he works with athletes ranging from fitness enthusiasts to elite competitors, supporting their progression, while also serving as Lab Coordinator and Instructor in the Health & Human Performance Department at Fort Lewis College.
Rotem believes that performance testing is most valuable when it goes beyond collecting data. His goal is to help every client understand what the numbers mean, interpret them in the context of their physiology and goals, and integrate them into their training routines such that it allows smarter training, improved health, and meaningful progress toward their individual objectives.
