FLC Climbing Team reaches great heights [VIDEO]
Winter 2015-16
The FLC Climbing Team, Fort Lewis College's newest club sport, reached great heights this year in its first year of competition. The team competes in the USA Climbing’s collegiate division in male and female speed climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering events for both individual and team scores.
At regional competition in Fort Collins in early April, the FLC squad placed 3rd overall against the region's best collegiate climbing teams, including the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University, Denver University, the Air Force Academy, and Adams State University.
At nationals in San Diego, April 16 - 20, the FLC Climbing Team announced its arrival in the collegiate competitive climbing world, finishing 8th overall among of the nation's 50 top teams.
