March 15, 2022 - Colorado is seeing some of the lowest covid-19 numbers since the beginning of the pandemic. While this is welcomed news to public health officials, many are treating this data with cautious optimism. KSUT’s Sarah Flower joins San Juan Basin Public Health Department to talk about lessons learned and how they intend to prepare to live with covid19.
Congress approved the massive Fiscal Year 2022 $1.5 trillion omnibus spending package that also includes millions of dollars to Southwest Colorado. KDUR's Sarah Flower talks with US Senator John Hickenlooper about what this funding means for the region.

Fort Lewis College has seen one of biggest increases in their freshman class in years. While welcomed news to many, this increase puts a strain on campus housing for students. This also comes at a time when the college is tackling workforce housing issues for their faculty and staff. KDUR’s Sarah Flower reports on what the college is looking at for possible solutions.
Access to affordable housing is a crisis that many mountain towns in Colorado are facing. In the last several years, Durango in particular, has seen a drastic increase in housing prices while the supply of homes on the market is dwindling. KDUR’s Sarah Flower reports on ideas the city and it’s consultants are hoping to move forward with and implement in the months and years ahead.
