The College should be referred to as either Fort Lewis College or FLC.
Fort Lewis College is the Southwest’s leading undergraduate research institution with its low student-to-faculty ratio and one-on-one, affordable instruction. The experience students gain here is responsive to industry demand and the ever-shifting landscape of higher education. Powered by mountains, mesas, and the Animas River, educational opportunities at FLC are shaped by the land, people, and culture of the Southwest.
FLC is one of the country’s most diverse campuses, with over half of its students identifying as people of color. The institution embraces every student's identity—age, gender, religious or spiritual affiliation, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status—and works to promote equity and inclusion at all levels of the academic experience.
To prepare students for tomorrow’s challenges, all departments and schools on campus base their dynamic educational approach on applied, experiential learning. With more than 55 majors to choose from, students become industry professionals, community leaders, and cutting-edge academics.
