Fort Lewis College is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). NASM accreditation recognizes that the College meets established standards for music education, including curriculum, faculty, facilities, and student learning.
Nutrition Program
The Fort Lewis College Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) prepares students for graduate studies and supervised practice on the pathway to becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). The program has been granted candidacy for accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Teacher Education
The Fort Lewis College Teacher Education Program is authorized by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), the state agency responsible for teacher licensure. The program undergoes periodic reviews to maintain authorization for its traditional and alternative teacher-preparation pathways. The Colorado State Board of Education approved its most recent reauthorization in August 2025.
