If you have earned a Bachelor’s Degree, you may apply to enter any one of our Post-Baccalaureate Licensure programs. Although the post-baccalaureate does not offer a degree, its coursework will qualify you to apply for a Colorado teaching license.
The time requirements vary to complete the Post-Baccalaureate Licensure programs. This is due to the program you choose and the number of courses accepted from the student’s undergraduate curriculum.
For a complete list of program requirements, please review the course catalog.
There are several paths to put your bachelor's degree toward a teaching license in Colorado. In addition to this post-baccalaureate program, we offer a Master in Education program. You may be eligible for our alternative certification route if a school district has already hired you.
To best support you in finding your route, we encourage you to contact the School of Education's Associate Dean, Chiara Cannella, for advising.
