All of us in the Office of Financial Aid understand how confusing and intimidating the process of applying for student aid can be and that’s why we’re here to help you through it. If you don’t find an answer to your questions here, please feel free to contact our office.
The Office of Financial Aid processes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine a student’s eligibility for need-based aid and federal loans. Need-based aid consists of:
- Federal, State, and Institutional grants
- Federal loans
The financial aid awarded through this office is based on information received from the FAFSA application.
SUMMER 2017 - If you plan on taking courses during the Summer 2017 term, and want to apply for financial aid, you must have a valid 2016-17 FAFSA on file, a completed file, and submit a Summer 2017 Aid Request Form to the Office of Financial Aid. You must register for at least 6 credit hours in the summer to be considered for Federal Student Loan funds.
