FLC featured in premiere of new Amazon Prime show
Viewers of the new Amazon Prime series “The College Tour” can see the inside story of what makes Fort Lewis College so special through interviews with real students and an intimate tour of campus. The series premiered this week and featured FLC as the first stop of the tour.
From the diverse student organizations to outdoor spaces accessible from campus, science and art classrooms to the athletic fields, the segment gives young people an authentic look at what it's truly like being a student at Fort Lewis College.
“Fort Lewis College is always seeking ways to connect with new prospective students and 'The College Tour' is such an innovative and unique approach to accomplish that,” said Lindsay Nyquist, director of FLC Marketing & Communications. “Our students did a phenomenal job of speaking from the heart and showcasing their personal experiences for ‘The College Tour’ audiences. We can’t wait for Amazon Prime and Roku viewers nationwide to learn more about our campus in the sky.”
“The College Tour” is brought to viewers by Emmy-nominated and multi-award-winning producers and each 30-minute episode will focus on a single college or university. The series is hosted by Alex Boylan, who is known around the world for his award-winning TV producing and TV hosting ability. Boylan brings prospective students and viewers on an intimate tour of unique college campuses to give a holistic view of the student experience, showcasing interviews with current students and professors.
“The idea for ‘The College Tour’ TV series came to me from my 16-year-old niece. Because of the pandemic and finances, she wasn’t able to travel to tour colleges,” said Boylan. “So, using our skills as executive producers we created a series inspired by her and millions of other young people who are interested in attending college. We are really excited to be kicking off the series with Fort Lewis College. It was a pleasure to work with their staff and students and to bring the story of FLC to life.”
