For the first time since March 2020, the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College reopens with a live, in-person concert on Thursday, June 10, featuring three internationally renowned songwriters—Thom Chacon, Anthony D’Amato, and Daniel Rodriguez. They'll swap stories and share songs throughout the evening to a limited capacity, socially distanced audience, as well as live-stream viewers at home.
Fort Lewis College, along with many other universities and colleges around the U.S., is requiring students returning in the fall to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. President Tom Stritikus made this announcement last week saying, "requiring vaccinations for students is our next step in protecting campus, increasing in-person engagement, and improving mental health."
