Fort Lewis College is only the second college in Colorado to sign the Real Food Challenge (RFC) Commitment. To commemorate this milestone, the College is hosting the Real Food Chow Down on March 18th in the Student Union’s San Juan Dining area. 

Assistant Professor of Biology Heidi Steltzer is the first recipient of the Sulzman Award for Excellence in Education and Mentoring from the American Geophysical Union. The award acknowledges both creativity in research and leadership in forging the next generation of scientists.

On Sunday, February 9, Fort Lewis College will host College Goal Sunday. The aim is to connect students interested in college and their families with financial aid professionals. The event offers guidance on ways to pay for college, specifically how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is a crucial step in the college planning process.

A step to help ensure that Fort Lewis College keeps its liberal arts identity is the College’s decision to become a member of the National Humanities Alliance (NHA). FLC joins such other schools as Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford as members.

Some formerly disorganized and inaccessible historical records of Fort Lewis College will be available to future researchers thanks to the hands-on efforts of students in a new course on Archival Theory & Practice.

Running throughout the month of February, Fort Lewis College will host and help staff a site for Tax Help Colorado. Sponsored by the Piton Foundation and Colorado’s colleges and universities, Tax Help Colorado offers free income tax preparation for households making less than $50,000 per year.

As the Fort Lewis College Cycling team heads to Boulder for the USA Cycling Cyclo-Cross National Championships this weekend, they'll be competing in the first race of their 20th anniversary year.

The annual Fort Lewis College tradition of celebrating Dr. King’s legacy will be held on Monday, January 20. The community is invited to join in the day’s free activities.
