Over Thanksgiving Break, 50 students, faculty, and staff traveled to South Dakota to join the protest at Standing Rock, bringing donated supplies. Upon their return, they staged a non-violent rally in downtown Durango.

FLC students learned how to seek employment locally or nationally at federal agencies at a recent Career Services workshop.

Charles Hakes, senior lecturer of Physics & Engineering, facilitated the creation of a weather station at the Old Fort Lewis campus in Hesperus, which is now part of Texas Tech University’s “West Texas Mesonet” network of 100 stations.
