Dr. Charles Riggs and Dr. Kathleen Fine-Dare were invited to participate in the National Science Foundation's (NSF), "Learning NAGPRA: Resources for Teaching and Training" project based at Indiana University and part of a broader NSF initiative on "Cultivating Cultures for Ethical STEM."

Dr. Kathleen Fine-Dare presented "The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) after 25 years: Accomplishments, challenges, and new conversations," at the The Great Laboratory of Humanity international repatriation conference held May 31-June 2, 2016 at the University of Padova, located in Padua, Italy.

Joel Kirkpatrick, administrative assistant for Music, Political Science, Philosophy, and Modern Languages, is a six-time published novelist.
