Chief Dull Knife College named Eva M. Flying (Exercise Science, ‘90) its new college president. Flying already had an illustrious career establishing and managing health and wellness programs at other higher education institutions across the country.

FLC cycling took home gold in the team relay on the last day of racing at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships at Purgatory Resort. The win was a stunning and rowdy culmination of collegiate racing, with the Skyhawks taking silver in the overall omnium.

Ryan Schwarz, an associate professor of Biology, spins tales in The Durango Herald about spiders in the Southwest and beyond. Schwarz encourages people to appreciate spiders for their beauty and many contributions to our ecosystem.

Al Wolfe, the student engagement coordinator for the Diversity Collaborative at FLC, gave a talk on the power of storytelling for the FLC Speaker Series hosted by Undergraduate Research. Wolfe discussed how stand-up comedy and storytelling helped them through their struggles with anxiety.
