With the newly created Skyhawk Persistence Grant, Fort Lewis College is bridging a gap to degree completion for students facing unexpected financial hardships.

Experts in business and economics will present their view of the current status of local, state, and national economies, and their predictions for the future, at the Community Concert Hall from 8 to 11 a.m.

President Begaye and FLC President Tom Stritikus signed an agreement that provides $2,500 per student, per term. The agreement also establishes a partnership between FLC and the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship and Financial Assistance (ONNSFA), which will distribute and monitor the funds.
