Gulliford High Country Speaker Series

Andrew Gulliford, professor of History and Environmental Studies, was chosen to be a keynote speaker at the 15th annual High Country Speaker Series in Avon, Colorado.

Local financial internship integrates students with careers

Durango contains an economic ecosystem as rich as its natural setting. Here, Fort Lewis College students can experience working with nationally competitive companies while staying close to home. One such company is Vantiv Integrated Payments, which offers paid internships during the summer months to students from the School of Business Administration.

On a snowy December morning, more than 200 students graduated from Fort Lewis College and participated in a Commencement ceremony in Whalen Gymnasium. The graduates were encouraged by Commencement Speaker Leslie Goldstein, winner of the Alice Admire Outstanding Teaching Award. Congratulations to all graduates and their families!

Dawn Mulhern Miller Middle School

Dawn Mulhern, associate professor and department chair for Anthropology, facilitated a group of Miller Middle School seventh graders visiting campus for a physical anthropology lab.

Telluride Startup Weekend

Senior Engineering majors Eric Hicks and James Schneider, along with Visiting Professor of Physics & Engineering Randy Palmer, won first place in Telluride's Startup Weekend competition with their RoofDogs idea. Two other teams from FLC competed, with representation from Business Administration and Anthropology.
