Alumna Rebecca Benally

Rebecca Benally (Physical Education, '90), the first Native American woman in the country to serve as a County Commissioner, will be awarded the Chancellor’s Medallion at the annual commencement ceremony of the Utah State University - Eastern Blanding campus.

Paul Booth

Paul Booth, associate professor of Art & Design, won a Communicator Award of Excellence for a poster series he designed for the San Juan Citizens Alliance aimed at raising awareness of the Animas River Spill.

Fulbright Scholars

Three FLC faculty were named Fulbright Scholars for 2016-17: Justin McBrayer, associate professor of Philosophy, will be researching the origins and rationality of religious beliefs in Austria; Ross McCauley, associate professor of Biology, will be studying the evolution of plants in the Galápagos Islands, and Nancy Cardona, associate professor of English, will teach as a roving scholar...

Clausen $600K grant

Rebecca Clausen, associate professor and chair of the Sociology Department, is part of a team awarded a $600,000 grant by the Agnese Nelms Haury Program at the University of Arizona. They'll be investigating the effects of last year's Gold King Mine toxic spill on the Navajo community.

Black Student Union

The Black Student Union, founded by senior Political Science major Dabney Meachum and senior Psychology major MeKayla Smith, supports minorities and promotes diversity.

TLC for FLC 2016: Fundraiser for student scholarships and faculty research [VIDEO]

TLC for FLC is Fort Lewis College's premier fundraiser for student scholarships and faculty research. Funds are raised through ticket sales, live and silent auctions, and generous donations. Students from the arts often perform and a great time is had by all! The 2016 event, with a Roaring Twenties theme, raised about $38,000.

Fort Lewis College Cycling: It's like a family

More than 100 riders strong, FLC Cycling is a unique hybrid program, blending the fun of a club with the full-time professional coaching and equipment of a varsity sport. And all it takes to join is a helmet and a hunger to ride. The focus, though, is still on fun and team spirit. Collegiate cycling is a good time with great people.

Fort Lewis College Cycling: Championship team

Unlike professional racing, it's the nature of collegiate cycling that has each person riding to earn points for the whole team rather than just for themselves. It's that unique spirit that forges deeper and lasting connections among collegiate cyclists that last well after their college riding days are over.
