Fort Lewis College is rolling out its new mobile app on Monday, March 16. The app is free and will be available for Apple, Android and Windows devices.

I recently had the privilege of welcoming Carol Salomon and Norman Broad, two generous supporters of Fort Lewis College, to campus to celebrate the good their gifts have done. Their donations to the President’s Discretionary Fund have allowed us to support some wonderful initiatives and programs.

Take a tour of the Leadership Center! The Leadership Center is the hub on campus for student involvement and houses student organizations (RSOs), leadership programs, Student Union Productions (SUP), student government (ASFLC), and wellness initiatives. Our friendly staff wants you to become a part of the Fort Lewis College community so stop by and let us help you get involved!

Fort Lewis College is hosting a San Juan National Forest presentation on the spruce beetle epidemic and its impact on Colorado forests. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. in the Student Union Vallecito Room at FLC. Everyone is invited to this free event.

On Tuesday, March 10, a showing of “She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry” will be held in Noble Hall, Rm. 130 at 6 p.m. The film follows the women who founded and contributed to the women’s movements of the 1960s and 1970s. I count myself fortunate to have gotten to know Rob, and I will remember him most as a dedicated, enthusiastic and involved educator. In fact, he was so passionate about geology that he would rather theorize than eat. Fort Lewis College and Durango are both better places because of the life and work of Dr. Rob Blair.
