FLC staff, students, and alumni are having a major impact on composting in the Durango area.

"Sustainability and Environmental Sociology: Putting the Economy in its Place and Moving Toward an Integrative Socio-Ecology," co-authored by Associate Professor of Sociology Rebecca Clausen, was published in the May, 2016 issue of Sustainability Journal.

Amy Wendland, a professor in the Art & Design Department, was chosen from over 300 applicants to receive a fully-funded artist residency from the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts for their 2016 Open Studio Residency Program.

After winning a college-wide scholarship competition, senior Biology major Shea Wales and senior Art major Hayley Kirkman will be attending the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders at the University of Maryland in June 2016.
