Scholarships & Financial Aid
Fort Lewis College keeps education accessible through affordable tuition rates, by making scholarship and financial aid offerings available, and assisting students in figuring out how to best finance their education.
- Tuition scholarships are annual awards valued up to $12,000 for academically qualified students. (tuition scholarships are determined at the time of admission. Once determined, the award amount is frozen and will not be adjusted if new transcripts or test scores are submitted.)
- Institutional tuition scholarships of $6,975,035 were distributed for the 2011-12 school year – up more than 300 percent from the 2006-07 academic year.
To apply for financial aid, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FLC's FAFSA code is 001353. You will be considered for all federal, state and institutional aid; including grants, loans, and work-study employment unless you indicate that you are NOT interested in loans and/or work-study on your FAFSA application.
In-state residents also need to apply for the College Opportunity Fund (COF) to get their in-state tuition rate.

Native American Tuition Waiver
The Native American Tuition Waiver is a program at Fort Lewis College that will cover the cost of tuition for Native American students who meet the admission requirements and who are a member of a federally recognized tribe. The student is responsible for room, board, books and fees.
To apply for the NATW, students should send in the Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) when they send in their admission application. Native American students are still encouraged to fill out the FAFSA to cover other costs. Learn more about the tuition waiver.
