First Year Scholarships

We automatically award merit scholarships based on your high school GPA when you're admitted to FLC. Awards range from $2,000 to $8,000 and are renewable for up to 4 years.

International students receive the same amounts as out-of-state students.
Students must maintain their Academic Standing (minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA) to renew scholarships for up to 4 years unless otherwise noted.
*Colorado scholars must maintain a 3.0 GPA at FLC to renew the additional $3,000 scholarship for up to 4 years.

FAFSA and next steps

Submitting the FAFSA can help your student access the most financial aid options, including grants, work-study, loans, and some institutional aid.

The Fort Lewis College FAFSA priority deadline for 2027-28 is November 15, 2026. Families should complete aid steps early and watch for follow-up tasks. Most aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis after the FAFSA is filed.
