Purg's snowfall

The El Niño and La Niña weather cycle can be a tempting source of information for skiers, but this past winter is a telling anecdote that the cycle may be a poor guide. Snowpack is estimated to be 190% of the average in the Dolores River Basin, leading to a 30-to-60-day recreational water release from McPhee Dam into the Lower Dolores River.
