Purpose statement:

Our purpose is to provide a place for anyone interested in Hispanic culture and to assist with the retention of Hispano and multicultural students.

Learning Outcomes:

  • As a result of being a student employee at El Centro de Muchos Colores, students will demonstrate time and office management as well as event planning skills by producing a special event or project from start to finish.
  • As a result of being a club officer for Club del Centro or Club Ballet Folklorico, students will complete Strengthsquest and successfully apply this new knowledge of their personality strengths to positively and successfully lead their respective clubs.
  • As a result of being engaged in our center and activities sponsored by El Centro de Muchos Colores Hispano Resource Center, students will increase their knowledge base and be able to identify distinct cultural aspects about Hispanic/Latino community.
  • As a result of being engaged in our center and activities sponsored by El Centro de Muchos Colores Hispano Resource Center, students will develop an understanding of their own cultural identity.
  • As a result of being engaged in our center and activities sponsored by El Centro de Muchos Colores Hispano Resource Center, students will develop social and life skills that will enable them to be active contributing family members within their communities and articulate how to facilitate a community in other environments.
  • As a result of being engaged in Student Affairs programming, students can identify an awareness of diversity and articulate how to contribute to an inclusive social climate.
