Helping you stay on your feet

FLC is committed to working with you to reduce financial stress during this challenging and uncertain time. If you’ve been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and are experiencing financial hardship, we’re here to help.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II is authorized by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act and makes stimulus assistance available to all credential-seeking students at FLC for the Spring 2021 semester.

Emergency relief funding is available for coronavirus-related expenses. Due to the disruptive nature of the pandemic, you may have experienced unexpected or increased costs for housing, food, childcare, technology, healthcare, or other essential needs.

FLC can help you recover those costs

Only students who complete the online application will be considered for assistance. The application opened February 15.

Apply for funding

  • Only one application will be considered per student; students cannot apply for assistance more than once.
  • The application is open to all credential-seeking students enrolled for the Spring 2021 semester (e.g. students working towards a certificate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree).
  • The application will stay open for the entirety of the semester and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. However, priority consideration will be given to those who apply by March 5.
  • Qualifying students who apply by March 5 will receive funds by March 12. Qualifying students who apply after March 5 will receive funds within two weeks of their application submission.
