For over 40 years, Outdoor Pursuits has helped Fort Lewis College students connect with the outdoors, offering transformative experiences in the mountains, rivers, deserts, and beyond. While our mission hasn’t changed, many students today face financial barriers that keep them from joining these adventures.
Student fees fund our core operations, like gear rentals, student staff, trip planning, and maintenance, but they don’t cover all the costs. For some students, even subsidized trips are still out of reach.
The Give an Adventure Fund bridges that gap. This inclusive fund provides financial support so that all students, regardless of background, can access OP trips—whether it’s a local day hike or a global expedition. Each semester, students can apply for grants from the fund to help pay for trips listed in OP’s programming calendar.
As part of our annual Celebration of Adventure, students can also apply for a $500 Seek Your Adventure Award, funding a student-designed trip that deepens leadership, learning, and connection to place. Your support makes it possible. Help us give more students the chance to step off the beaten path and into something bigger.
