Description: Join FLC and El Centro de Muchos Colores as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, September 19th from 4:00-8:00pm Our Annual Fiesta on the Mesa will include performances by Ballet Folklórico de Durango, Mariachi Amigos de Nuevo Mexico, a few rounds of Lotería (hosted by Club del Centro) and a wonderful dinner from San Juan Dining. Join us for QPR to learn valuable skills to equip you with the power to prevent suicide. QPR stands for Question, Persuade & Refer and is an emergency response training for someone in crisis. Attendees will learn warning signs of suicide, how to offer hope and how to get help and save a life. Please register for the training ahead of time using this link .

SkyWords presents award winning author Darcie Little Badger, author of the young adult novels A Snake Falls to Earth and Elatsoé. A Snake Falls to Earth is the 2024 SkyWords Common Read! Events include: 1:00 - 2:20 Q and A with Darcie 6:00 - 7:30 Reading and Book Signing. Reservations required for evening event. Event is free for FLC students, faculty, staff, and alums. Tickets are $20 for all others, with funds supporting SkyWords programming. *Streaming option available
