Academic Assessment

Guidelines

Assessment at FLC follows three guidelines:

1. Assessment of Learning -- We use assessment data to report our evaluations of student learning for accreditation.
2. Assessment as Learning -- We encourage students to use feedback on their academic and co-curricular performances to help with their educational and career goals. 
3. Assessment for Learning --  We enhance our teaching and co-curricular offerings based on student performance data.

Canvas course

Canvas Assessment Course: Using their FLC log-in information, assessment liaisons, department chairs, and program directors can access an online assessment resource, Introduction to Assessment, for more information on how to create and conduct assessments. This resource is available on Canvas.
