Stay on track with FLC’s Maymester

Are you a first-year student who needs to retake Math 112 or Comp 150? Are you looking for some extra preparation before you start your sophomore year? If so, FLC’s Maymester might be for you!

From May 13 through June 3, you’ll have the opportunity to repeat Math 112 or Comp 150, checking off four credits of your Liberal Arts Core requirements.

The best part? Maymester is entirely free!

What to know about your 2022 Maymester:

This is an exciting opportunity to save money, complete a 4-credit course central to your Liberal Arts Core requirements, and prepare for your sophomore year—all before leaving campus for the summer.

It’s 100% free! Students enrolled in the Maymester course do not pay for classes, books, on-campus housing, meals, or events.

You’ll have extra support! Peer Educators and faculty mentors will help you put your academic skills into structured classwork and study sessions.

Did we mention the activities?!

When we are not busy with our Math/Comp coursework, we’ll explore our beautiful home in Durango. Activities include:

  • A FLOW rafting trip (Fort Lewis on the Water)
  • Hiking and downtown excursions
  • Service projects with local organizations
  • Team building activities at Purgatory Ski Resort
  • And so much more!

This opportunity is open to a limited number of qualified students.
