Call for nominations

We are now accepting nominations for open positions on the Staff Council beginning Fall 2021. All positions serve two-year terms.

The open positions are:

• President’s Office: 1 Seat, Administrative Professional or Classified Employee
• Finance & Administration: 2 Seats, 1 Administrative Professional and 1 Classified Employee
• Student Affairs: 1 Seat, Administrative Professional Employee

The Staff Council is made of nine staff members with two-year terms. The representation below was designed based on the number of staff members in each division.

• Academic Affairs – 2 members (1 Administrative Professional & 1 Classified)
• Advancement – 1 member (Either Administrative Professional or Classified)
• Finance & Administration - 2 members (1 Administrative Professional & 1 Classified)
• President’s Office – 1 member (Either Administrative Professional or Classified)
• Student Affairs - 2 members (1 Administrative Professional & 1 Classified)
• The final member will be appointed by the Staff Council to identify a population who is not represented. This will help elevate diverse viewpoints and perspectives that will strengthen the work that Staff Council produces. This appointed position will be a one-year term.

If you are interested in serving on the Staff Council, nominations are open now and can be submitted in the form below. You can nominate your co-workers or nominate yourself. All nominees must have supervisor approval since there is an added work and time commitment. All nominees who are nominated by other people will be contacted to confirm their interest.

The deadline to nominate is Friday, April 16th. Elections will take place Monday, April 19 - Friday, April 30, through an online form. More information about the Elections can be found in the Bylaws.
