Designed to educate and inspire readers, stories posted on the FLC news site are carefully chosen and curated by FLC’s in-house Communications Coordinator and Media Relations Strategist. The primary target audience includes prospective students and their families, community members, media outlets, alumni, friends of the College, and potential donors.
Stories that appear on the FLC homepage incorporate photo and/or video components shared on FLC’s social media channels. Once posted, these features are available for use on departmental and College webpages, in promotional materials and newsletters, and for republication in outside media.
Please note that homepage features generally do not promote upcoming events or address “hard news” topics on campus. Rather, our Media Relations Strategist works to publicize departmental and administrative news to local and national media through press releases and social media. Share your events, grant funding news, awards, scholarship opportunities, and more by emailing Lauren Pope. Please allow two weeks for news story and press release development.
