MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE
The news and feature stories that get teased on the homepage and posted on the FLC News Blog have a very specific purpose: they share the human side of the College's story. They illustrate, explain, and bring to life distinctive and unique aspects of the FLC experience for a range of audiences.
The primary target audience is potential students and their families; other audiences include community members, media outlets, alumni and friends of the College, and potential donors.
Stories that appear on the FLC homepage also include photo and/or video components, and are shared on FLC social media. Once posted, these features are available for use on departmental and College webpages, in promotional materials and newsletters, and for re-publication in outside media.
Please note, homepage features generally do not promote upcoming events or address “hard news” topics on campus. Rather, our Media Relations Coordinator works to publicize departmental and administrative news to local and national media through press releases and social media. Share your events, grant funding news, awards, scholarship opportunities, and more by emailing Lauren Savage. Please allow two weeks for news story and press release development.
