Calendars

We have two event calendars at Fort Lewis College:

SkyHub

Skyhub is a student-led, student-focused calendar. If you have a student-focused event, submit your event to Skyhub. Contact nmanning@fortlewis.edu to register your organization and submit an event to the SkyHub calendar.

25Live

25Live is a faculty- and staff-led, FLC and Durango community-focused calendar. You’ll use 25Live to book your on-campus space. If you select the event to be open to the public, it will upload to the 25Live calendar after your event is approved.

For off-campus promotion, add your event to online community calendars like KSUT, Durango Area Tourism Office, and more.

Bulletin Board email

We send our weekly event email, Bulletin Board, to students, faculty, and staff every Friday morning. If your event meets the posting requirements and you have submitted it to 25Live or SkyHub by Thursday, it will be included in the Bulleten Board.

Appropriate events for these calendars include:

  • Campus-wide events
  • Community events for FLC students
  • Lectures/guest speakers
  • Departmental activities

We do NOT include:

  • Events not open to the public
  • Repeated events
  • Club meetings

Since the linked event is always included, we do not send out any corrections or updates to Bulletin Board. We encourage you to send out your own FLC Announce if you need to make an update announcement.

Event flyer

Follow these steps to create flyers for your next event.

  1. Create
    Find branded flyer and sign templates available to you in Photoshelter.Templates are built in Powerpoint for easy editing. You can also use canva.com to create a flyer and social media graphics with your event information.
  2. Distribute
    Send or print materials two weeks before the event date.
    • Social: Send digital materials to hbbirdsong@fortlewis.edu to be included on FLC social media pages.
    • Screens: Send a horizontal digital flyer (1920px x 1080px) to jelopez@fortlewis.edu for displaying on campus screens. Must be a PDF, PNG, or JPG under 1,000 KB.
    • Printed Flyers: Stamp your printed flyer at the Student Union info desk to post on "open posting" campus bulletin boards.

Instagram:

Tag @FortLewisCollege on Instagram. If you tag us on Instagram Stories during your live events, we can repost your stories to the main FLC Instagram account.  

Twitter:

Tag @FLCDurango on Twitter when promoting your event on social media.

Facebook:

Create a Facebook event and invite FLC as a co-host for additional event promotion.

Press release

Promote your event through a press release to external media so reporters can attend. Events promoted to external media should be either new and significant or traditional and newsworthy.
