We know that life at Fort Lewis College is more than just attending classes. As you know, COVID-19 has affected what the landscape of our campus will look like for the foreseeable future. We are diligently trying to limit the number of people on campus to help reduce the risk to our campus community and you. This means, our best practice is to limit the number of in-person events we have on campus. Fort Lewis College will remain student-centered.

Off Campus Community: We thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this period, ensuring that we are doing everything we can to keep our students and campus community safe and successful. Please review the FLC Gear UP website for general information about campus procedures for the fall. We are happy to discuss reserving space for you starting in January.

On Campus Departments: we are strongly encouraging most gatherings be virtual whenever possible. If you request an in-person gathering please submit below and keep in mind many of the spaces have reduced capacity for proper distancing and availability for academic classes. All outdoor gatherings need a reservation including the request to use tents. For the safety of fellow Skyhawks and protecting the Nest, groups on campus are not allowed to provide food for indoor events at this time. Grab and go and outdoor food options are still being permitted.

FLC Safe Events During COVID-19

FLC is following CDC, Colorado Department of Higher Ed, and local health policies in establishing safe event guidelines.

The FLC Safe Events Committee is a sub-committee of The Campus Life team and will be furthering these policies and approving event requests. 

 In order to host an event on campus the following is being asked of all hosts and organizers: 

  1. Considerations: deciding what type of event is right for your group 
  2. Make a reservation request via online form 
  3. Covid Mitigation Matrix
  4. Safe Event Checklist
  5. Visitor Policy and Procedures
  6. Promote an event

*Event organizers, RSO sponsors, faculty will be responsible for mitigating risk and implementing safety procedures at gatherings. Failure to adhere to campus policy may result in the cancellation of reservations and the revocation of space reservation privileges.
