All Check Requests will be processed in Workday in the new calendar year.  Please use this guide to determine what Workday task name you need to request payment:

  • Check Requests for Vendors = “Create Supplier Invoice Request” (for payment of items under the Purchase Order threshold of $10,000)
  • Travel Authorization = “Create Spend Authorization” (for employee or team travel-also used to request a cash advance)
  • Check Requests for Non-Travel-Related Employee Reimbursements = “Create An Expense Report” (for employee non-travel reimbursements)
  • Check Requests for Travel-Related Employee Reimbursements = “Create An Expense Report” and select button Create New Expense Report from Spend Authorization (for employee travel reimbursements)
  • Vendor Creation Request = “Create Supplier Request” (to request setup of a new supplier)
  • Vendor Change Request = “Supplier Change Request” (to update address, name or other changes for a supplier)
  • Requisition = “Create a Requisition” (for generating a purchase order for goods/services in excess of $10,000)
  • Invoice Payments against a Purchase Order = “Create Receipt” (this initiates the payment of a supplier invoice against a PO for goods/services received or completed)
