Admitted Student Day

Admitted Student Day is an exclusive event for students (and their families) admitted for Fall 2024. Take in the beautiful sites of Durango in the spring with this full-day event that will feature breakouts with faculty members from your academic interest, meetings with financial aid and housing, plus a chance to learn about the different student involvement and resources available when you are a Skyhawk.

A bonus feature for this day is the different social activities to meet other new students and make friends before the fall. Family members will have their own breakouts to learn from other parents of college students and a chance to connect with other new families.

Do not miss the opportunity to see campus, meet our supportive community, and get a feel for your new home!

Admitted Student Day Registration

Registration closes on the Monday before the event or when it reaches capacity. We do not accept group registrations. Registered guests get a personalized schedule at check-in.

Tentative schedule

  • 9 a.m.: Check-in opens
  • 9:30 a.m.: Welcome program
  • 10:10 a.m. – noon: Breakout sessions
  • Noon – 1:30 p.m.: Lunch in the dining hall and visit the Skystore (bookstore)
  • 1:30 p.m. – Student social activities; Family sessions
  • 2:40 p.m. – Closing & Next Steps Checklist
  • 3 p.m. – Tour around campus
  • 4:30 p.m. – Event concludes
