student success & advising
To get started on putting together your first-semester schedule:
Take our quick Advising 101 questionnaire to let us know your areas of academic interest. We’ll use your answers to craft your personalized schedule and send it to you. You can connect with an advisor for any changes or questions.
Take the “Transfer and Returning Skyhawk Advising 101” course in Canvas. After that, you can call 970-382-6985 or toll free 866-385-3949 to schedule your registration advising appointment.
Appointments can be held over the phone or in person, whichever you prefer. If you schedule a phone appointment, you’ll need to be sitting at a computer with internet access during your conversation.
Continuing students looking for assistance with choosing classes and planning their degree can schedule an appointment online or by calling the Advising Office at 970-382-6985.

If you have taken college level courses at another institution or earned an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree, it’s important to submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended to the Office of Admission. If you would like to see the how the credits are awarded, please go to the Transfer Equivalency Table to estimate how your courses will transfer. An official evaluation will be completed before your advising appointment for all submitted transcripts.
If you have taken an Advanced Placement (AP) exam, an International Baccalaureate (IB) program, or a College Level Examination (CLEP) test, you may have earned college credit. It’s important to submit official scores to the Registrar’s Office to be evaluated. If you would like to see the how the credits are awarded for AP, IB, and CLEP please go to: Credit by Exam in Course Catalog
