Biology Learning Outcomes

  1. Key Principles of Evolutionary Theory and the Foundational Role of Genetics. Biology graduates will explain and apply evolutionary theory and principles of genetics, including knowledge of the flow, exchange and storage of information.
  2. Biological Systems. Biology graduates will be able to explain the connections between form, function and organization across biological systems; and the pathways and transformations of energy and matter across scales in biological systems.
  3. Experimental Design and Data Analysis. Biology graduates will effectively design experimental research, execute data analysis and summarize scientific results.
  4. Communication of Scientific Results. Biology graduates will effectively communicate scientific results in multiple forms, including written, visual and oral formats.
