Knowledge in action

FLC students rafting on the San Juan River

Study the geology of the Colorado Plateau from the bow of a raft, the river having cut a cross section of geologic ages through the desert rock. Take water samples to study the microbiota of the Animas River. Learn the principles of social psychology through teamwork on a three-day river trip in northern New Mexico. And don’t stop there. Work as a river guide, taking your peers on expeditions of placed-based outdoor education. FLOW is knowledge in action: education that our students experience.
