FLC's tutoring services will continue in distance formats through our May and June summer sessions. Students will be able to receive ongoing academic support through video conferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.), by phone, and by email.

Details by tutoring center:

NetTutor: Our free online tutoring service is a great option for academic support during this period of distance instruction. Students login to NetTutor in Canvas, under the Canvas toolkit (in the blue menu bar on the left side of the screen). Online tutors offer support in a wide range of subjects and are available for live sessions, to answer submitted questions, and to review papers 24 hours a day, any day of the week. Math and writing help are available 24/7 on NetTutor.

Math Tutoring: The Algebra and Statistics Alcove and the Math Assistance Center will enroll all students who are currently taking a Math course in a new Canvas course for Math Tutoring. Within that course, students can view the new distance tutoring schedule, communicate with faculty and tutors, and receive announcements about tutoring support.

STEAM Peer Educators: Some summer courses have Peer Educators assigned to support them. Students should check Canvas for details about how/when to connect with Peer Educators for support in specific courses. Peer Educators may be available by Zoom/Skype, phone, or email. Students should reach out to their faculty member or to Michelle Bonanno with questions about connecting with STEAM Peer Educators.

STEM3 - STEM3 provides free academic, career, financial, personal, social, and technological assistance to eligible students in science, technology, engineering, and math. Visit the STEM3 site to view current offerings.

TRIO Student Success Center - Funded by a TRIO grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Student Success Center provides individualized academic and personal support services to eligible students who want to make the most of their education. Contact your one-on-one tutor directly to make arrangements to continue to meet (in distance formats or at a safe social distance).

Writing Center: The WC is hosting online appointments only. Students can continue to make appointments as usual and will utilize WCOnline to meet with their tutors online. Students may also contact Writing Center tutors directly (via email addresses on our staff page) to set up alternative meeting times/formats.
