Tech Pack Fort Lewis College

Much of what we do in our lives is done onscreen, from college applications to social interactions. We do schoolwork, manage bills, and sometimes even attend classes online. As FLC becomes increasingly digital alongside the increasingly digital world, we remain committed to our values of personalized and experiential education.

While we require that every student has a laptop, smartphone, and certain software, we understand that inequities in our society greatly impact access to current technology and the ability to keep up with it. With this in mind, we make the equipment and support available for free or at an affordable price.

Covering your bases

Get some or all of your TechPack--as much or as little as works for you--and cover your tech bases during your time at FLC. From hardware to software, training and support, we have you covered.

Sure, you can bring your own laptop, but you can also rent one for $50 per semester (including breaks). No smartphone? We have loaner smartphones you can use for free through the semester to support symptom tracking on campus. And please, by all means, do not bring a printer to campus. We have you covered.

More on hardware

We have you covered on software, too. Whether you bring your own laptop or rent one from us, all your essential software is free to use while you're a student at FLC. This includes Office 365 programs like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, among other applications. What's more, watch our training tutorials to use this software like a pro.

What if things get a little tough? Don't worry, we still have you covered. Reach out, don't freak out. Your Student Tech Team is here to help you get the hang of unfamiliar software, and our IT department is here when your technology needs some serious troubleshooting.
