Let us help you host your summer conference or group function at Fort Lewis College.

From mid-May to mid-August each year, Fort Lewis College makes available its housing, food services and other facilities for use by groups wanting an educational setting for hosting their conference, workshop or training.

The Durango, Colorado area is blessed with outstanding natural and cultural resources that offer many recreational and educational experiences-from river rafting, mountain biking, hiking, swimming in hot spring pools, visiting archaeological sites, boating, riding the Alpine Slide at Purgatory Ski Area, and riding the historic Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Train.

These resource amenities coupled with Fort Lewis College's housing, food services, classrooms, equipment and recreational facilities make a conference or group function an enjoyable and affordable option.

Below you will find our fees for lodging, catering and event set-up. These fees are subject to change. Please contact us with specific questions or pricing confirmations.

Lodging

Traditional dormitory room (CampCrofton and Escalante)

  • $38.00/room/night, includes 2 beds
  • Common bathroom down the hall
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Two Bedroom Suite (CooperWest)

  • $46.00/room/night, includes 2 beds
  • 2 rooms (up to 4 people) per bathroom
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Three Bedroom Suite (BaderSnyder)

  • $28.00/person/night
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Four Bedroom Suite (Animas Hall)

  • $112.00/suite/night, 4 single bedrooms
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Two-Bed Apartments (Centennial 1 Bedroom and Mears)

  • $60.00/apartment/night
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Four-Bed Apartments (Centennial 2 Bedroom)

  • $88.00/person/night
  • Linens are available upon advance request for an additional $2.00/person/night

Lodging rates are subject to 8.4% tax for educational based programs, 10.4% for non-educational programs.  If a sales tax exempt certificate is provided to the Student Housing and Conference Services Office, sales tax may be waived.

Meals & Catering

Dining Services can provide all-you-care-to-eat meals for your group in the San Juan dining room centrally located in the Student Union Building. Rates below are for Summer 2018.

Breakfast in the San Juan Dining Room $8.50/person/day
Lunch in the San Juan Dining Room $10.25/person/day
Dinner in the San Juan Dining Room $11.75/person/day

All meals are subject to 8.4% tax, unless a sales tax exempt certificate is provided to the Student Housing and Conference Services Office.

Set-up Fees

A one time non-refundable set-up fee of up to $5.00 per person will be charged, depending on the level of services needed. This fee will be applied to the final invoice. The set-up fee is non-refundable upon cancellation.

  • accepting program reservations and arranging for set-up of facilities
  • making on-campus housing reservations
  • making arrangements for meals or meeting rooms
  • AV equipment
  • check-in/out services
