Whether you're here for personal enrichment, to develop your career, or as part of an employer-sponsored cohort, we welcome you to our classes, culture, and campus! As a non-degree-seeking student, you'll be officially enrolled in college, even if you're not immediately seeking a degree or certificate. Your coursework will be graded and posted to a transcript.
Students graduating high school and undecided on their major are considered first-year admission students.
It takes 15-20 minutes to complete your application and start your next adventure.
A non-refundable $40 application fee is required to process your application. You can pay your application fee with a bank debit or credit card online with your application.
You can submit your application without payment and send a check from a United States bank or a bank money order in United States currency payable to “Fort Lewis College.” If you choose to send a check, please be sure your full name and date of birth are included on it.
You can request a fee waiver if you have extreme financial need. Select "yes" on the admission application when asked if you would like to request a fee waiver due to financial hardship.

Congratulations, you've been admitted! We are so excited you're joining us on your next academic adventure. Now that you're officially admitted, it's time for you to accept our offer of admission and confirm enrollment so you can reserve your spot and register for courses.
Now that you're admitted, you have an @fortlewis.edu email and student account. Set up this account to register for classes.
Find your FLC Student ID number in your admission portal (available in March for Fall 2024 students), and follow the instructions to "Activate your Account."
Once course registration has opened for incoming students, you can register based on availability from your Workday portal.
Find detailed steps and instructions on the Skyhawk Station Registration page to find courses, check when you can register, review your account for any holds or outstanding tasks, create a saved schedule of anticipated courses, and register for courses.
You can register for courses with prerequisites once you demonstrate your eligibility to the instructor, who will provide you with a registration override. In most cases, you can demonstrate that you have satisfied prerequisites by showing the instructor transcripts. You may be required to take placement testing.
