Enroll at Fort Lewis College as a non-degree seeking student

Whether you're here for personal enrichment, to develop your career, or as part of an employer-sponsored cohort, we welcome you to our classes, culture, and campus! As a non-degree-seeking student, you'll be officially enrolled in college, even if you're not immediately seeking a degree or certificate. Your coursework will be graded and posted to a transcript.

Students graduating high school and undecided on their major are considered first-year admission students

Steps after you are admitted to FLC

1. Confirm enrollment

Congratulations, you've been admitted! We are so excited you're joining us on your next academic adventure. Now that you're officially admitted, it's time for you to accept our offer of admission and confirm enrollment so you can reserve your spot and register for courses.

  1. Log into your admission portal
  2. Find "Reply to Offer of Admission" under the "Forms" section
2. Activate your FLC account

Now that you're admitted, you have an @fortlewis.edu email and student account. Set up this account to register for classes.

Find your FLC Student ID number in your acceptance letter or admission portal, and follow the instructions to "Activate your Account."

3. Register for courses

Once course registration has opened for incoming students, you can register based on availability. Browse or search our current course offerings before starting the registration process. When you're ready to register, find detailed instructions on the Advising & Registration page

You can register for courses with prerequisites once you demonstrate your eligibility to the instructor, who will provide you with a registration override. In most cases, you can demonstrate that you have satisfied prerequisites by showing the instructor transcripts. You may be required to take placement testing.

At this point in your journey, you will contact the Skyhawk Station for additional help.
